Leather Cord Slip Knot for Necklaces

Posted: May 6th, 2010 | Author: | Filed under: Jewelry Videos | Tags: , , , , | 25 Comments »

Stari Girl Jewelry makes it easy to learn jewelry making. This is simply two square knots. The trick is to tie the knot using only one piece of leather, with the other piece “sliding” through the bottom of the knot. @Datalore74 I think the tricky part is when :39 is cause that’s when he starts the second knot, and he pulls one of the strings down and does the second knot with that one, in order to make the knot the way it’s should be. If you focus on that section you might be able to understand a little better. I’ve watched it like 10 times I think :)

Lol it sounds like a square not, so it is used in a lot of things, fishing, climbing, Boy scouts, and necklaces.

Thanks for this! I had a necklace once with this kind of knot and I loved it, so when my friend recently bought me a necklace with neither clasp nor knot my first thought was to make a sliding one, but I wasn’t *quite* positive how to do it right.
