    If you make a square not right before you place the bead and then after the bead the placement of the bead will always lay flat against the neck for a better presentation to everyone else that looks at your necklace

    you can wire wrap the fragment so that it has a loop on eith side like o(skull)o then you run the hemp through down into on hole then under the piece and up through the other hole

    Check your craft/hobby store for the area with those rock tumblers that polish rocks. Near that should be a driller, for making holes in the finished polished pieces you might be able to use.

    for flat stich, keep going with flat stich around to the bead.
