Hiya,
i’m starting my own line of jewelry out of old vintage brooches, and i am stuck as to how i might remove the pins on the back, so i’m left with just the flat front part.

can someone please explain how this is done? and what tools i might need. it would really help me out..
thanks

Use wire cutters or pliers to remove the clasp. If you have a Dremmel, smooth the area off. A beading store or an arts and crafts store should have the barrette backing you need.

You will need a pair of these:

After cutting off pins backs of the brooche, you can use a small metal file to smooth the areas.
