Sterling Silver Celtic Knot Crescent Moon Pendant with 18″ Necklace
I bought this for my wife this Christmas (and gave it to her early — couldn’t help myself). This normally wouldn’t have been the kind of thing I picked out for her. She says I have good taste in jewelry, but I usually choose either diamonds or colored semiprecious stones for her. This seemed kind of plain from the picture. Nevertheless, it was on her wish list, so I bought it.
One thing to note is that the pendant is relatively small — but not too small. It shows up nicely as long as she’s wearing something like a turtleneck or other plain sweater. It would get lost if she wore a busier pattern. Also — and this is my one disappointment with the piece — it is “one-sided”. In other words, the way it appears in the picture is the way it will appear on the wearer. You can’t turn it around to form a “C” shape. This is because the back of the pendant is flat, and the filligree is not really visible. Not a huge deal, though.

This pendant is small, about the size of a dime, and very light. It is one-sided – the opposite side is hollow. It appears exactly as shown. The chain it comes with is 18″, which is pretty standard, and has a circular clasp with the knob you have to pull on.

I love this necklace. Its so beautiful. I thought it would have been bigger, and I was expecting it to be bigger, but it wasn’t. But I still love wearing it!!

The moon is indeed smaller than expected, but it’s also chic and delicate. I generally like plain jewelry, I also liked it that there were matching earings too! What I didn’t like was that the chain was too long – I don’t get why they have to make them so long – and I had to use my own. But other than that it is adorable!

My sister’s name means “daughter of the moon” and she is obsessed with anything to do with the moon. I got her this gorgeous necklace last year for Christmas, and she still wears it every day. The gift-wrapping option was very convenient, and it showed up in a cute little jewelry box.
