Add an elegant glow with these large and luminous shell pearl drop earrings. The round white shell pearls are stationed on sterling silver leverback wires and rest just below the earlobe. Rhodium overlay gives the silver a bright, hypoallergenic, and tarnish-resistant finish.
Shell pearls are man-made simulated pearls created from organic materials. They are called “shell pearls” because each pearl nucleus bead is made from an actual shell of a clam. Many layers of pearl essence, made from crushed oyster shell, are applied until a lovely pearl luster is created.
Because they employ a shell nucleus and repeated layers of coating, shell pearls have a similar weight and feel, and the same deep luster found in excellent quality genuine pearls, at a fraction of the price.

These are alot larger than I thought they would be. They are crafted well. Not exactly what I was looking for but I will keep them.

Although the image doesn’t really show as much, the pearls for this earring set are very, very large. We’re talking marble-sized. If you’re looking for a subtle earring style, look elsewhere.
Nevertheless, the earring set appears to be well-crafted.
