Sterling Silver Multi-Gemstone Post Earrings

I bought these earrings in a whimsical mood; I love multi-gemstone settings but rarely find one I like well enough to buy.
I got these at the special intro price of $17.99, which supported my whimsy.
A couple of design features are NOT obvious in the picture, and they are important. First, the silver setting itself is very slightly convex vertically, so the lower edge curves in under the earlobe a tiny bit. Nice!
Next, but really first, and I would have snapped these up sooner if it had been pictured this way: The two earrings are mirror images. See the garnets in opposite corners of each earring? In the pair I got, and I hope this is standard throughout the batch, one earring had the garnet in the upper left/lower right, and the other in the upper right/lower left. It’s just a really nice design element.
I said “shiny yet subtle” by which I mean the different colored sparkling stones give you the shiny, but the fairly small size [about 1/4" x 13/16" by my pica stick] means that unless you have a really tiny head and face they are not going to scream LOOK AT ME!! from your ears. They’ll just whisper it.
Made in China, if that matters to you. I’m not a gemologist so I can’t attest to the quality of the stones. Doesn’t matter to me at this size. Nice colors and well matched stones.
Came in a nice little pouch to keep these sparklers in, packed into a little box. But, while this has nothing to do with the product … it came in a HUGE box from Amazon. Good thing I recycle cardboard!

I bought these for a gift after reading the two glowing reviews. When I received the earrings, they were such a disappointment.
1. The convex shape was nice, the gemstones seemed to be set securely, and the silver was shiny.
2. However, the stones were DULL. There was no sparkle whatsoever. Not even in bright sunlight.
3. The center stones were very, very dark and looked fake. The item photograph gave me the impression that the color would be a medium purple color. The purple stones I received were closer to the color of an eggplant. I would not even call them amethysts because they just looked like purple colored stones. In stark contrast were the pale topaz, peridot, and citrine which were SO light that from an arms length away, you could only see the reds and purples.
The photograph lead me to believe that the gemstones would blend together. What a disappointment!
Fortunately, I did only pay $17.99, so to send them back would not be worth the money. I guess what can you expect for the price?

I purchased these earrings for an awesome deal under $20. The gemstones are clear, vivid and sparkle. The setting is beautiful. As the other reviewer mentioned, there is a slight arch to the earring. So it isn’t entirely like the post the picture makes it to be. And the earrings are mirror images of each other. They are a decent size with the amethyst being the center of attraction.
I got two sets as they make an excellent gift. If you love multi-color gemstones, then this one is a must.

I just received these this week, and am wearing them for the first time today. I have gotten compliments on them all day! They have a nice sparkle to them without being gaudy, and hang on my lobes nicely – very light too, I don’t feel them at all.
The picture is a bit deceiving however; the blue and green stones are not as vivid as shown. They are still very pretty so not a huge deal to me, I’m keeping them!

Purchased these as a Gold Box special for under $20. They’re probably worth that. As someone else noted, the posts are quite long…nearly 1/2″ on the pair I received. Mine came with the standard “curled” earring backs; I’ll probably put bullet backs with stabilization discs on instead. As has been mentioned by others, the earrings come as a “right and left-hand” pair, while the product photo shows two “rights” or…two “lefts” depending on how one wears them. I personally like the reality better than the photo, but it’s just something to be aware of before ordering.
The “convex” feature mentioned in other reviews is more like a small front-to-back bend in the otherwise stick-straight column of stones. On my pair, the bend is not identical in each earring – if I didn’t know it was intentional, I’d have thought that I received a damaged pair. Also, as has been the experience of other customers, the amethysts and garnets are quite dark in color, while the other stones are much lighter. The earrings are, indeed, made in China, as is stamped boldly on the back of each.
All that being said, I am satisfied with them for the price I paid. If I had paid the supposed “List Price” for them…they’d be on their way back to Amazon.
